Busy Busy Busy...and not much to say...

I've been kinda quiet this week. Its been the last week of school (hooray!) and its also just been a really busy week. I have family coming in this weekend and staying with us for a week. My family is so excited and can't wait to see them. Its been 7 months since we've seen my brother in law, sister in law and my two nieces. I just known they've grown so much! With that said, I most likely will not be posting for a couple weeks. I am going to be cleaning, cooking and enjoy some good family time!
My oldest daughter will be baptized this Sunday..what a wonderful gift for her daddy! He also gets to assist in the baptism and I know that means so much to him. We are going to have such a special Father's Day and I hope you all do too!

Porch Birds

Look what we've been watching on our front porch. Last year we had birds in our ferns. This year, they've taken residence in our petunias.

Just waiting......

We're here!!!

Aren't we so cute!

We want some worms!!!

Cheese, Glorious Cheese

Last night I made some of my girls' favorite foods. I think my oldest fell in love with me all over again! Cheeseburgers, baked beans and macaroni and cheee. I think my husband enjoyed it right much as well;-)
So today I'll share the Macaroni and Cheese recipe with you all. It is a Paula Deen recipe and uses the crock pot. It is soooooo good!

Creamy Macaroni and Cheese

2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
1/2 stick butter, cut into pieces
2 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or you can add a bit more like I do)
3 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup sour cream
1 (10 3/4 oz) can condensed Cheddar cheese soup
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup whole milk (2% works fine too)
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Boil the macaroni in a 2 qt sauce pan in plenty of water until tender, about 7 minutes. Drain. In same pan, mix butter and cheese. Stir until the cheese melts (this will look like a big glob of cheese). In crock pot, combine cheese/butter mixture and add the eggs, sour cream, soup, salt, milk, mustard and pepper and stir well. Then add drained macaroni and stir again. Set crock pot on low and cook for 3 hours, stirring occasionally. Now..I cook on high setting and its done in 1 1/2 hours. I stir often to break up that cheese glob.
