Simply Soap

I began making soap in November. I enjoy this new adventure and already have several "customers". I am praying this new little business will soar. If anyone has had success with selling their homemade products, let me know. Here is a shot of a few of my soaps.

They look Great! Hey have you checked out ETSY.com. I have a few friends that are selling their Homemade products on Etsy. Etsy is geared towards artists and crafters. Go check it out and I have bought several items off of etsy lately!

They look great Alyce! I love your packaging and the pretty ribbons :)

I figure out a way I could keep mine packaged (similar to this) and still be able to have people smell them, I cut little (almost invisible) slits in the bottom and people seem to automatically stick their noses there :P

Lovin' your new blog layout too! :)

good luck with your new endeavor! I can't think of anything better to do than to create :) When you love what you do, the customers, and the support from family and friends seems unstoppable!

Good luck! I think getting the word out around school is a good place to start. Also be generous in giving your own soap as gifts...then after folks use & love it, they'll want to BUY more for themselves and to give as gifts.

I totally agree about gining as gifts so others will know it is good and they like it...you ought to have a giveaway or something and some of your bloggers will help get the word out...Alos etsy is a neat place for crafters...check my blog out today and I have a post about etsy today...it is really adictive place to visit.

Good Luck...I did buy some oil to try some scrubs and then I am going to try the soap. I saw those kits and stuff at hobby lobby and I am going to see if I like the scrubs and will get back and get soap stuff also...just for me and gifts.

Thanks for the heads up on the soap stuff at Hobby Lobby last week.
